two candles are lit on the altar, then all are invited to light their own candles and take them back to where they sit - a symbol of sharing in God’s love and carrying that love with you
leader: witness the light of the Lord
radiant in all creation
incandescent energy
illuminating love
all life, all reason,
all we are and all we shall be
we find in the light of God
approach the light and encounter God
all: Lord be here now
leader: embrace the light and find love
all: Lord protect us
leader: look into the light and find solace
all: Lord comfort us
leader: warm to the light and find reconciliation
all: Lord heal us
leader: cradle the light and find hope
all: Lord inspire us
leader: cherish the light and transcend this existence
all: Lord live within us
leader: holy light of our lives
all: Set us ablaze with holy fire
