’shelter’ spoken meditation
this was inspired by fluxus - the new york performance art collective started in the 1960’s. it works like this: there are five people each with a few words, each person has a number. the numbers are either flashed up on a screen or pulled out from a pack of cards - any random sequence comprising all five numbers will work. if you’re feeling mathematical you could work out every possible combination and do them all.
when your number comes up you read your passage. repeat this with diferent random sequences as long as you care to - the longer the better.
the words take on new meanings or reveal new interpretations with the random sequences. go on, try it!
