Ritual

we try and write worship material in language that is real to us, expressing thoughts and desires that are genuine . after years of mainstream church conditioning it is all too easy though to slip into church speak which can mask what we are really trying to say . this is probably reflected in these examples - we realise we need to work harder on this if we are to have truly honest worship

our prayer is not always spoken - a ritual, image or meditation might be used to either prompt personal prayer or to create a state of prayer in which to open yourself to God . thus there is some overlap within the categories listed below

meditation also forms an important part of our worship . such meditations are usually extempore and inspired by a passage from the Bible, the Christian mystics or an icon or visual image

material on these pages has been written by participants in the collective unless otherwise indicated
. there may be some overlap with content in the services section
